Mouth dropping lamps

I was in NH for Memorial Day wknd, at my husbands parents in Bedford. Every single time I am up there, I have a ritual of hitting the Home Goods and Marshalls, because I am sure to find something. I WISH I needed a lamp or 10 for my house, because they had a million fabulous lamps! Check them out:

Dont these white ceramic lamps remind you of the Christopher Spitzmiller ceramic beauties!

The lamp on the left is the Meri Table Lamp from Oly - but dont you think the lamp from Homegoods on the right could totally be used for the same application?
I know these stores can be hit or miss - but when you hit - you really really hit!

Fatboy Slim

How cool is this modern version of the bean bag chair by Fatboy USA? You can take them to the beach or use them on your front lawn to lounge and read a book....talk about comfy-cozy!

A new modern alternative to the "beanbag" from the past, Jukka Setälä from Finland designed the Fatboy in 1998 as the beanbag for the 21st Century. Fatboy products have a PVC coating to make them water resistant, stain resistant and easy to clean. The Fatboy is filled with virgin polystyrene beads to allow for the ultimate lounging experience.

They even make them for your pets!

If you are hurry you can find them on One Kings Lane on SALE!

SOWA: Fabulous Find

I didnt have the energy to hit Brimfield last weekend but did stay close to home to explore antiques and talented artists who display their work at Sowa in the South End. I was hopintg to find a special something to occupy a wall in my entryway, but had no such luck, as there was a ton of jewelry to peruse but not so much furniture. Anyhow - when we stepped outside to the artists booths i did find a fun booth called Bumble Belly Designs. The owner, Amy Keller sells her goods on etsy. Take look!
The front of the pillow has a fun farm aniumal and the back has a cool print.

Each pillow is approximately 16x16. The text is screen printed onto heavy weight natural denim. They are trimmed with a green cotton piping and have a zipper closure so that they can be removed.

Diamonds are a girls best friend

I was thumbing through my April issue of Metropolitan Home and came across this cool new trend: Facets! The article showcases the cool chandelier and funky "ice" chair.

Once i had this trend in my head, I found this facet theme in lots of fabrics and accessories.

These chairs are a little "out there" but would be fun in a loft type modern space.
On a different note - I am finally getting the hang of this blogging and how to upload pics, etc. My apologies for the earlier posts, that are somewhat confusing looking.
